Valves are lanceolate, slightly constricted in the central area with narrowly rounded apices (apical raphe curvature obvious).
Valves measure from 25 - 35 µm in length (long) and 4.5 - 5.5 µm in width (wide).
The striae transverse and slightly coarser (rough) than in the preceding species, there are about 19 in 10 there are µm.
Found on the marine intertidal area of South Africa.
