  • Valves are lanceolate, slightly constricted in the central area with narrowly rounded apices (apical raphe curvature obvious).
  • Valves measure from 25 - 35 µm in length (long) and 4.5 - 5.5 µm in width (wide).
  • The striae transverse and slightly coarser (rough) than in the preceding species, there are about 19 in 10 there are µm.
  • Found on the marine intertidal area of South Africa.
